I navigate texture, luminosity, color and assemblage. My intention is to explore the natural and unnatural by combining materials like acrylics with pumice stone, jute and nylon, cotton and ink. As the experiments expand; I ask, what are we learning and unlearning? In the context of my work, rope is symbolic of a utility rather than a weapon. It is being used as a support to hold conversations up, rather than as a reminder of what can hold us back.
